Dr Mansoor is a young and vibrant general and minimal access general surgeon who is keen on changing the face of surgery one operation at a time. His innovative and progressive style has led to immense success in the private sector. Dr Mansoor’s  #vision2020 goal is currently at play.

 

2005 Nelson R. Mandela School of Medicine

Dr Mansoor graduated cum laude from the Nelson R. Mandela School of Medicine in 2005. He was the awardee of the prize for outstanding performance in surgery.

Masters degree

He then went on to pursue general surgery as his choice specialty.  Dr Mansoor has a masters degree and is currently working on his PhD.

2016 World Laparoscopy Hospital India

In 2016, he attended the World Laparoscopy Hospital in India where he completed a diploma in minimal access surgery.

2018 Sanofi-Aventis - Minimal Access Surgery Training Unit (Mattu)

In 2018, he was awarded an international opportunity from Sanofi-Aventis, via the Association of Surgeons South Africa, to receive training from the Minimal Access Surgery Training Unit (Mattu)

2018 Royal Surrey Hospital in the United Kingdom

Royal Surrey Hospital in the United Kingdom. The focus of his training is laparoscopic (‘key-hole’) surgery.

Dr Mansoor firmly subscribes to the principle that cost-effective high-quality general surgical care should be a priority for all practicing surgeons in the modern era. With admission privileges at City, Westville and Crompton Hospitals, the practice has been developed to be easily accessible to a wide range of areas within Kwa-Zulu Natal. More practices will hopefully be set up in the next 2 years to further increase our reach.

 

Furthermore,Doctor Ebrahim Mansooris active in training up-and-coming surgeons, lecturing, and public speaking. He has been interviewed by several radio stations, including East Coast Radio, and Vodacom. He is a regular attendee at local and international conferences and training workshops. To date, Doctor Ebrahim Mansoor has received training from 6 countries.

Surgery is rapidly changing and  Dr. Mansoor’s practice is ever-evolving to keep up and give the patient the very best there is to offer. Thus far, the Gallbladder and Hernia Centre of Excellence and the Intragastric Balloon Program have received magnificent public appreciation. More exciting initiatives will continue to flow from this practice.

 

From interior-designed paperless practices to active surgical social media influencing, Doctor Ebrahim Mansoor is breaking new ground and setting the tone for future surgical practice. Watch this space!
